SIR, - I expect many bands will be planning to ring Howard Skempton’s composition of Five Rings Triples (p.1053) for the Olympics and some may like to ring a longer length than the 3-course touch of 396 changes. With 21 false leads a peal is out of the question but a quarter peal is possible. The following composition uses Bob = 147 (the usual Plain Bob bob) and Double = 145 (the call used in the touch) and has the same part-ends as the touch. It has been independently checked by the CC Compositions Committee.
